- about Me, my photographs and my photography “Every photographer has a starting point. A time in life when the idea of taking photographs just clicks. Mine began as a young boy, maybe eight? I remembered my mum had a Kodak Box Brownie, she was always snapping away taking the family photos, I thought it was wonderful, I loved holding it, peering through the little eye piece imagining what I could do, then rummaging through her box of black and white family snaps. One day I borrowing her camera, loaded with film the quest was to try photographing a bird flying high above me. A big adventure stirred, every mum knowns wee boys love big adventures, my imagination conjuring up something way beyond reality an image that was in my minds eye. When I saw the prints my prize shot of the bird was a mere speck on the paper against a white sky, disappointed yes, but it was my first photograph. This created a spark in me, my desire was to try and recreate the images in my minds eye, over my life this has remained an vital part of my photography.” Thank you…
