May 16 2010 Published by Wills under BUSINESS,NEWS

We’re on the move, but thankfully not very far, from the 11th June 2010, all enquiries and viewing’s will be in our studio in Hyndford Road, our shop in Bannatyne Street will no longer be in use, this will allow us to offer a much larger viewing area and you can experience our large screen preview without the tight squeeze.

You can book on line or simply call the studio on 01555 660023.

Vicki training day – Lawrie & Symington Auctioneers Lanark

Apr 30 2010 Published by Wills under CAREER,GALLERY,NEWS,PERSONAL

I’m called in to assist Vicki in her second HND corporate assignment at the Lanark Agricultural Centre, where Lawrie & Symington’s auctioneers became the centre of focus for Vicki she will no doubt post her images later but as her dad I felt she did a good job considering she was in the middle of a very busy machinery sale day.

New Blackrapid strap

Apr 19 2010 Published by Wills under NEWS

Lugging around two heavy camera bodies all day is pretty hard on your shoulders and my preference to using only fixed focal length lenses means I constantly switching which camera I’m using.

Last year I heard about a new strap invented by Ron Henry of Blackrapid that looked ideal for my style of shooting weddings allowing me the freedom to shoot and keep my kit safe and more importantly stop the wear and tear on my shoulders. A good friend lent me his and I’ve been eagerly awaiting a UK supplier to stock them, on Friday my wait was over and I should have a new strap this week ready to give it a test run at one of our engagement shoots.

The phone pouch has been a great asset over the past week well worth the little extra over the standard RS-4 model.

Lanark has a new wedding venue

Mar 18 2010 Published by Wills under NEWS

I had the opportunity to visit Lanark’s latest wedding venue in the Cleghorn Estate Gardens this new wedding venue is ideal for those looking to have a marque weddings in beautiful surrounds.

The surrounding woods and gardens were a sea of crocus and daffodils if I have been there earlier I would have witnessed the massive blanket of snow drops that covered the sheltered secret woodland garden which had just been restored.

The 18th century gardens are reached by a half-mile long red gravel avenue and have beautiful views to the south of Tinto Hill and the Cleghorn glen as well as ample parking for you and your guests With capacity for marquees of upto 15 metres by 30 metres excluding catering and entrances. Cleghorn is a slice of scenic serenity in the heart of Scotland, the ideal location for your Big Day.
